Michael Jackson lived in Gary, Indiana in his early years but was mostly raised in the suburbs of Chicago with his 11 family members. Both of his parents loved music and encouraged their kids to study music growing up. Michael had a very strict father growing up, all the kids weren't allowed to have a lot of friends, he would push them to practice music for hours and would physically and verbally abuse them if they made mistakes. Out of all the his siblings Michaels parents saw how talented he was at singing at just eight years old and would be the lead singer of their band "The Jackson Brothers" in 1964. In 1978 Michael broke away from his family band to focus on his solo carrier, a year later he released his first grown up album "off the Wall" 

On June 25,2009 Michael Jackson took some medication to help him sleep but was eventualy found dead
